Title Picture:

I know our top picture is incredibly out of date - but I love it because it captures perfectly my life at one point. So it will stay.

My First

Having your first girl is kind of like having your first child all over again. I have to resist the temptation to take pictures of her in every single outfit - especially now that she is sitting and her personality is coming out. However if she is in a pretty dress, with a pretty bow, I give in - and indulge in a photo shoot.

So PLEASE forgive all the photo's to follow - hardly anyone will appreciate the SLIGHT differences in her facial expressions except for yours truly - it is more embarrassing because she is my third. I justify it by saying she is my first girl. My two favorites are the first ones - so look and those and you can scan the rest.

If you made it this far you get 10 points!

Our Fall

We have had a good fall with a lot of fun outings and activities. We went to this really cool park in Pleasant Grove with our friends the Curren's.

Cara and Megan are 3 weeks apart (and they were both 6 weeks early).

We made some pumpkin sugar cookies for our friends in the neighborhood.

And just a funny picture. Since the boys have been sharing a room bedtime is less than perfect. They always stay in their room - but often play for at least an hour. Brock often falls asleep UNDER Noah's crib - but on this night they must have been extra tired because Brock fell asleep IN Noah's crib. (and holding onto the crib bar... how does that happen??)

Gardner Village

We went to the Witch Festival for some Halloween fun. I recommend going in the evening... I went once during the day and it was way crowded, we got there around 6:30 - much better.

Both the boys had earned .25 cents for some random chores around the house - so we took them to the candy store in the Village to pick something out. I think a candy store for a 3 year old and a 2 year old bust be the most magical place in the whole world.

They both decided on blue candy canes (well Brock did, Noah is at the stage that he will do anything Brock does)

Fun time had by all!

Tickets, Tickets Please

Name that show... Dinosaur Train. My kids love Dinosaur Train and have found a love for trains and tunnels, well "time tunnels" to be exact. Every tunnel in the WHOLE world is a time tunnel and when we go under one (even just the bridges on the free way) Noah yells "time tunnel, time tunnel approaching" or "big pond, next stop big pond" or "tickets, tickets please".

So one day for our activity we rode TRAX downtown and strolled around temple square.

They were in HEAVEN!

And now I would like to share with you the many faces of Noah - a little overload, I know, but he was just being so funny I kept taking pictures, and I just had to share.

and one of Brock... just to make things even.

Lucky Surprise

We went to Wheeler Farm one day - just for fun - and there happen to be a carnival going on. What luck! Free lunch and everything. There was a train ride, bounce houses, and a TON of carnival games.

This ball was a hit - they would not get out of it - they just rolled around the ground.

More Herberts

On the SAME day that Karli came to town we got a surprise visit from Jason's brother Jon and his family. They live in West Virginia and haven't been to visit in about 3 years. We have each had two children since then (giving us 3 each). We ADORE Jon and his family - we desperately wished they lived closer. For my dear husband I will change my wish to wish that we lived out there instead of them living here.. that wish was for you babe - your welcome.

Megan and Leilani are only 6 weeks apart.

Kaleb is 4 - and him and Brock had the time of their lives. I don't think they stopped wrestling or throwing balls the whole 2 days (this was the best picture I could get since they would not stop moving). Brock doesn't have any older boy cousins - so he was in boy heaven. He has talked about Kaleb everyday since he has left. Asking when we will see him again and stuff like that. So fun.

You hear people talking about a "mothers heart" - well Debbie (Jason's mom) has a "grandmothers heart" - she has 8 grandchildren and only 3 live in the state (ours, and we are an hour away) - yet her house is 100% devoted to her grandchildren. She has more toys and books then we do - and I am not talking about toys from when her kids were little - I am talking about brand new toys - for ALL ages - EVERYTHING that Megan could ever want to play with up through Brock and Kaleb. She has bikes and wagons and art supplies, seriously everything. And she is on the floor playing with her grandchildren the whole time. She lives for it, and she only has grandchildren there a handfull of times a year. We love her dearly.

This is a pic. with all the kids with their Great Grandparents.
Jason's other Brother Matt and his family came down from Idaho for the weekend as well. That was exciting and we love them - but we do see them more often, so this post was about the WV Herberts - but I wanted to give a shout-out to Idahoan Herberts as well - we love you!

Karli came to town

Since Kar came for a few days our play group got together and went to one of our favorite fall activities... Cornbellies. So super fun - and so expensive - but worth it (especially if you have several children 3 and under (we are a rare breed, although 3 of us in this group had three kids in three years, I digress...))

Back to the point, the problem with Cornbellies is that there are so many things to do- you feel like you could spend 6 hours there and not have done everything. But the kids have fun, so you just have to focus on what you DID do and not what you didn't do.

This was our attempt at getting a picture of all the kids. (minus a few babies)
