These pictures would be Dane from about 15 - 18 months.
Sometimes he still cuddles me even when it isn't bed time. When we put him to bed he lays his head on our chest and we sing a song (I saw we because he will do it to who ever puts him to bed, including the kids). But it is rare for him to cuddle for no reason. This was a sweet moment.
Dane loves doing "business". He doesn't care to be on the kids chrome books, my phone, or our desk top computer - but he wants to get on Jason's laptop everyday and play push buttons. Jason is kind enough to let him do it also. In fact Jason took these pictures to catch how adorable he is.
One evening while on a walk Dane noticed bugs. He got real close to the ground and pointed at some ants. He now know the word bug and says it every time he sees one outside.
He still loves to read. He cracks me up with his reading.
In the mornings it is just the 3 of us in our room while Jason and I get ready. It is actually so wonderful. Every morning for 30 - 60 minutes he is our only child (while the others sleep). He watches as either Jason or I clean the shower after a shower, so when I gave him a shower one day he insisted on cleaning off the shower door. It was hilarious and he was so happy. He even needed to put it back on its hook after.
I got our little table out for him that Noah got for his birthday when he turned 2. He eats his snacks at his table and plays with animals and cars, and now we play play dough at the table.
And I have gotten used to having a toddler in the kitchen with me while I cook. "gotten used to" is probably an over statement. At best I tolerate it... some days. I put whatever I can on the floor to keep him occupied - but it takes twice as long to make dinner and I often make more and more mistakes. And everything is more of a mess afterwards. But oh how I love the memories and emotions of cooking and cleaning with a toddler underfoot.
