We came home from our St George trip on Sunday and the kids didn't have school Monday, so to make up for Brock's missed birthday I had his 2 best friends wake him up and take him to breakfast.
We might do a combined birthday party with his friend Cameron when he turns 16 in July. We will see if that eventually happens.
Brock at 16
- Brock is a wonderful first child. He is calm, obedient, rational, easy, responsible, and forgiving.
- Over the last year or so Brock has really started to take control of his life and become more responsible with school, work, friends, and hobbies. He is being prayerful and intentional about his decisions.
- I know he loves me and likes me. Brock will often come to me for advice about how to handle certain situations and he seems to genuinely appreciate that I look at his phone or read his texts. He appreciates help in a lot of those areas of his life and seems to think my advice is helpful so far.
- He is very very excited to date. Although he is learning that his hopes are not matching his reality. Girls not wanting to date, having boyfriends, coming up with things to do, money, conflicting schedules, driving rules (no body in the car for 6 months), friends and girls still being 16, boys not wanting to double, and making sure everyone in the group all get dates are all stumbling blocks that he wasn't anticipating.
