Title Picture:

I know our top picture is incredibly out of date - but I love it because it captures perfectly my life at one point. So it will stay.

Chuck E Cheese

One of our favorite winter time destinations.
Brock and Megan had an epic game of air hockey.  That was not sarcastic, she gave him a run for his money. (See Madison on the ground - that is what she did most of the time - I LOVE when they learn to sit.)

The boys are serious about counting their tickets.  Although something happened this time around that has never happened before.  Brock kept all of his tickets he won in his own pocket and counted them and wanted to redeem them.  We have always just put all of the families together and then "shared" the spoils.  It never occurred to me to do it the other way.  I guess this is America and there is no "socialism" in the Herbert household. :)
Enjoying their candy
I realized while we were there that I do not have one picture of me and the girls.  I have a MILLION pictures of me and the boys when they were this age - because I took one at each activity.  So here is the first pictures of just us girls.

Ready

Still getting everyone ready and on time to church by myself (I think I hear a violin playing in the background :).  We were ready about 20 minutes ahead of schedule.  So I thought I should snap a photo.
I am sad you can't see mine and Megan's skirt.  They were pink like Madison's dress.  Yes, I matched all three of us.  :)

Madison

Wondering what this little girl is up too?  Everyday is like a new adventure for her.  It is great.
She started sitting at the beginning of January.

Now she sits like a pro and plays with toys.  Her favorite place to be is at the bottom of our stairs in the front room with her bucket of toys.  She dumps the bucket over and plays and sucks on each of her toys one by one.

She also has her saucer now and loves it.  She caught on faster than any of my other kids.  She knew how to push all the buttons and spin around from the moment I put her in.

Love the "angry baby" look.

We are also in that horrible sleep stage where she knows she doesn't want to be swaddled but she doesn't know what she DOES want.  She can't get her own binkey but she wakes up if it falls out.  The last two nights she woke up about every hour -just to be put back down.  I call these "transition months" - they all have them.  And they will pass.  But being in the midst of one is hard.

She is starting to eat food.  Loves it.  I don't so much.  Baby food is one of the lamest stages in my opinion.  But in general she is so so good.  I got lucky.  She is so patient and sweet and happy.  She happily waits her turn for everything.  But once she sees I am done taking care of the other kids and done cleaning up their mess and she sees me doing something she deems as unnecessary - she wants her turn and lets me know it.

Winter Days

We have had unseasonably warm weather here in Salt Lake.  I fear it is all going to catch up with us and we are going to have a hard, snowy, cold, spring - please no!

We have made it to the park a few times, but have still been mostly indoors.  A favorite (non-Megan) past time is tractors in rice.  This could hold Noah's attention for hours.

And EVERYTIME there is a tiny bit of snow these  kids are right in it.  They played in our backyard for almost an hour - that is a record for these kids - they do not like the cold.
