Utah: Splash pad

One morning we went to a splash pad in Sandy with Millie, Caroline, and Mikey and the Fosters.

Brock does not like to swim of get wet. The best thing about Brock is... he is such a good sport.  He will put on a swim suit and come hang out.  He keeps busy and doesn't complain.  After about 2 hours he politely asks if we can go home.  If the answer is no he doesn't roll his eyes or get all huffily - he just sits patiently until its time.  We do this about once a week.  He is a sweet heart!

Utah: Fishing

One night by dad took the boys fishing.  They have such a good grandpa who loves to spend time with them and give them great experiences.  It is reasons like this I love going back to Utah.

Utah: Real Game

One night we got LAST minute tickets to the Real Soccer game.  I am such a planner I would have said, "no way" - the games started in 5 minutes.  But my dad and Travis (my sister's husband - NOT my husbands brother) took the four boys - they were both in the middle of other things but they dropped whet they were doing and went.  I am grateful for people in my life who don't need to plan things all day (or all week) and can do things on the spur of the moments.  It was one of the highlights of my boys trip.

They had a firework show at the end.

Utah: Travis and Jeanne

Jason's brother, Travis, and his wife, Jeanne, and their kids, Gwen and Marcus, live just a few minutes from my parents house, so we invited them over for dinner and dessert one evening.  

We had a great time!

Utah: Millie's Party

While we were in Utah my cousin Millie had her 8th birthday party.  Even though Millie is my cousin - she is the age of my kids - so they know and love her like their own cousin.  This was QUITE the party - a bouncy slide, cotton candy, pop corn, hot dogs, snow cone maker, etc - it was more like a carnival for sure!

I didn't get a picture of the birthday girl however - she was a little overwhelmed by the party and spent most of the time in her room.  ha - that's Millie!

Utah: Visiting Ammon

On Friday we went up to Syracuse to visit Ammon and his family.  It was a fun afternoon.  We just love the Anderson's and have really enjoyed getting to know them and love them.  We also miss Ammon like crazy.  I got pretty emotional seeing him again - I wasn't expecting that!  But he is just so cute and good and I loved having him in our home.  

Brock has missed having him probably the most.  They spent a while playing in their sport quart.

We also swam in their pool for a while - the kids loved learning how to paddle a kayak!

I am sad I didn't take any pictures with all of us.  It was a fun afternoon and we all hope to stay in good contact with them.

Utah: Puppies!

My second cousin's dog had 11 puppies - so we just had to so see them and play with them.  They were so cute and fun.

If you want to get a glimpse into HOW your children are different get them around animals or puppies - you really see their different personalities come out with how they approach them.  Brock is quiet and gentle.  No surprise.

Madison is VERY loving.

Megan is like a little mom.

Noah wants to be gentle like Brock and tries to mimic him, but is too excited to stay calm.  I love his smile.

It was fun and chaotic.

Utah: Great's house

When Jason and I went to Fiji back in the spring my mom was supposed to watch our kids but she hurt her hand at work and my sister in laws really stepped in and helped with my kids.  So on Thursday morning I told Brooke that she had the day off and I was going to watch her kids all day.  She left around 8 am and came back around 7 pm.  It was a lot of fun and the kids helped a lot!

We decided to go visit the kids' great grandparents and have lunch with them

The girls played dress up downstairs.

They boys played outside - and grandpa played catch with Brock for quite a while - what a wonderful 80 year old great grandpa!!!

After naps, playing, and dinner we walked up to get a snow shack with Grandma Hanna.  It was a good day - even with 6 kids!
