Our spring was busy busy with 3 kids in soccer at 2 or 3 practices a week and Megan in Dance. Add piano, orchestra, scouts, young mens, activity days on top of that and things got a little crazy. There was one day after school that dane was in the car at 3:30 and we didn't get out until 7. We never got out of the car - just kept zig ziagging around Highlands Ranch picking up kids and taking kidsd toanother place. He was a champ. Some days were so complicated trying to get everyone where they needed to be Jason and I would have to write out a timeline
Madison played on the same team she has been on since she was 5 - the Lady Panthers.
In our family we all go to everyone's games - unless they are at the same time. But we don't leave anyone home. This keeps us together as a family even when we have so many activities.
We had a cold and rainy soccer season. Most of the games and practices got rained out. The make-up games were all scheduled for Sundays so we just missed them. Some practices we went to and I tried to keep Dane bundled up. I got a little selfie-happy.
Noah's cub scout leader and cub scout den decided to form a soccer team for spring season. We did not think Noah would want to play. He tired soccer years ago and did not like it. He doesn't like to run. He surprised us all with a desire to be on the team and a commitment to try hard. He blew us away!! Jason and I were so proud at every game. He really dug deep and tried really hard. We could see that he was struggling and tired and wanted to give up - but we could see him give himself a pep talk and keep going. His coach felt strongly that no practice should ever be cancelled - even if it was a blizzard - and it was a few times. Noah would beg and cry to not go to practice but We told him to "dig deep" and work hard and he would and came home happy that he went. Noah really grew a lot this season and I am so so proud of him.
