Grandma and Grandpa Herbert come to visit

We were SO LUCKY to have grandma and grandpa Herbert come to Utah for the blessing and ordination.  They have been busy with remodeling Debby's childhood home in West Virginia for the past 2 years.  They hadn't met Dane yet - so it was a wonderful weekend.  All these pictures are from Randy.   I love getting the pictures he takes because they are of different things that I didn't take pictures of.

Right after they got to our house I went and ran errands and Debby got to cuddle Dane for a while.

They took Brock shopping and bought him a new suit for his ordination.  They went to a few stores and tried on suits.  They said Brock was very willing and patient and seemed to like the attention of looking really nice. 

He has LOVED his new suit and takes really good care of it.

They took some pictures BEFORE our church meeting started.  This is against the rules - but they are pretty cure.  This was Brock's first time passing the sacrament.

Madison and Jason sang in the choir for the prelude music.

Brock also went and did fast offerings with Will Rick's for the first time.

Brock wanted to find a name to take to the temple the first time he went.  We had been trying to find one for a few weeks.  Grandma and grandpa spent a few hours one night with him and they found one on Debby's side!

We got to all go to the kids' battle of the book competition

We had a super bowl party on Sunday night.

Sunday afternoon we did Come Follow me with Randy and Debby and Randy took these pictures.

Even though the Bronco's weren't in the super bowl - Dane was still representing Denver!

We were so glad they came out.  They always take the time to have some meaningful experiences with all the kids - and I LOVE having someone to talk to during the day!

Family comes

Brock was ordained to the priesthood and Dane was blessed the first week of February.  Timing was perfect to do it at the same time so the family could come.  I was SOO overwhelmed with love when Daniel, Angie, and Brooke came with their kids!  They rented a suburban and all drove together.  They are so sweet and selfless!  It made the weekend so fun!  

I felt like a grandmother having her grandkids come.  I bought all their favorite snack and rearranged my whole house with all our toddler toys.  I brought out or train tracks and put them on the train table, got rid of all our tiny toys and legos.  Got out all the blocks, and cars, and dolls and brought up our play kitchen.  It was great!

They stayed at a hotel with my parents so we got to go swimming Saturday afternoon.  AND, shockingly, Brock got it and swam too!!!  Noah loves swimming at hotels becasue their isn't a life guard and he can do what ever he wants. ha

It was also the super bowl so we had a super bowl party.

My mom was in charge of the food.

Everyone also got to go to Brock's young men's basketball game.  He had quite the cheering section.
