We got a few things for Light the World done. I decided to not do what the church planned for 2020 (everything on social media) and went back to, in my opinion, the best Light the World year - 2016. That was the year that they said things like: "Jesus ______ and so can you" We watched the little video everyday that went with it and then once you did your own thing you could take an andies mint candy. It wasn't so much for the reward, but for me to be able to remember to ask each kid what they did and have a conversation about it. It worked well. We did a few activities as a family.
Fed the hungry - packed rice and beans for a stake food pantry project
cared for children - watched a neighbors kids
healed sick - took dinner to neighbor who just had surgery
helped others to see - packaged our Christmas cards (others to see our family)
Showed compassion - Drove around Denver and gave homeless people bags of food
loved music - put on a virtual family recital
brought peace - put on a neighborhood nativity
visit the lonely - called great grandparents
