I know our top picture is incredibly out of date - but I love it because it captures perfectly my life at one point. So it will stay.

Utah: Fourth of July

We had our usual BBQ at my parents house for the fourth of July.  We missed the Michael Hanna family.  At our home Dane and Eve are "different" they are "the babies" and obviously there are pros and cons to that.  For now the pros out weigh the cons, so we haven't changed it - but i am fully aware of the cons.  But it does do them (and me) good when they are in a setting with kids there are and those kids are treated like "big/normal kids" in their families.  Not having bibs, high chairs, boosters, sippy cups etc.  Our trips to Utah are good for them that way.

More of Megan and Noah hanging out together.

After dinner we played games to wait for fireworks.

We got into swim suits for a water balloon toss and water fight

The teens put the sprinkler under the tramp

Then, of course, Pie in the face.  I was SUPER proud of Eve for giving it a try!

Because of the drought we couldn't do fire works, just sparklers, which was just fine for D&E becasue they are scared of everything.  Neighbors were doing fireworks and they cried every time one went off.
